(Not a local review) Passing by here due to work, but this place and staff are amazing! Wasn't very busy when I stopped in for lunch. First time here, but I will definitely return before I head back. Server had the most spot on recommendations. The servings that come out are definitely not for just one person, you can share or they can offer you a to-go box at the end just in case you want to bring some home. Kpop music in the background, amazing food, what more could you ask for?

This place fires on all cylinders—extra generous portions, exceptional service, and great prices that make you feel like you're getting a steal. ​We ordered a feast and every single dish was absolutely delicious: ​Chicken Katsu with Spicy Gravy: Incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the spicy gravy adds the perfect kick. ​King Katsu Combo: A massive, perfectly executed platter that satisfies every craving. ​Tteokbokki (Rice Cakes): Chewy, saucy, and packed with authentic flavor. ​Every single bite was filled with flavor. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and you definitely won't leave hungry. King Katsu has officially earned a spot on our regular rotation. 10/10 highly recommend!

Such HUGE portions!! I definitely recommend this restaurant. The Katsu was so crispy and worth the price. The corn cheese literally melts in your mouth too. The cold soba was extremely refreshing and chewy!

Portions like no other! Be prepared to feast and get your money's worth! Great amount of sauce to pair with your katsu too! We tried the butter garlic chicken 🐔 small size and the King Katsu and a extra side of Curry. It was all delicious and more than we expected. They even have a foodie challenge!

King Katsu Land has recently opened in Newark whereas their first location is in Daly City. I’m glad that they made it to the other side of the Bay since locals here have to commute longer to get to the other location. I know this area for a while since a few businesses used to open there, but I hope that this restaurant turns out good here. They’re known for serving large portions of katsu here and that didn’t really surprised me as much once they bring out my meal here. All that including soup and other foods for at least $19.95? Count me in! Food is really good here and I like we have a sauce pitcher to pour it to the katsu. I usually dip it to the pitcher and sometimes pour it just to get a bit of experience. I really love how flaky the katsu is as well as the crisps I’m hearing. Because the portion size is too big, I ended up taking the rest to-go and obviously don’t want to end up being full when I get home. I usually finish meals without taking to-go at the end, but not this time. I hope that this restaurant goes well and probably should try other katsu dishes here especially the cheesy one I kept seeing online. Honestly saw a good representation there. Don’t know if they
